Bang Bang Cafe | Surry Hills

$10 Friday Night Cheeseburger. Did we catch your attention?
We sure hope so because there's a new cafe on the block and it's a banging burger cafe! Bang Bang Cafe not only have cheap burgers to wash down the beer, but they also serve an extensive breakfast and lunch menu (which depending on how much of an alcoholic you are, it may also help wash down the beer). Whilst the business has been running for a few years, the cafe is now under new management and they have taken the directive to create a 'chilled' environment, where hipsters young, old or bald can hang!

Just make sure this place is on your burger bucket list!

Chilli Cheese Fries Sloppy Joe
When we ordered the above burger it was a spur of the moment - "we can't pass this opportunity up" type situation. All we were told that the burger had a Wagyu beef patty, topped with chilli cheese fries and served in a warm milk bun! This is a monster, waiting to give you a heart attack (that would be so worth it FYI). The chilli cheese fries had a chilli beef con carne in the mix which added that second layer of beef, thus making this burger a double beef stack. It was GREAT, it had all the makings of a burger... the soft bun that literally falls apart as you eat it, the oil dripping down your fingers.. but most importantly (for us foodies) it looked boss. It is only being sold for a limited time as the "Burger of the week", however I am sure it will be back.

French Toasted Brioche and Chorizo Breakfast
On paper, this dish sounds amazing as each individual element offers a whole new texture/flavour that would send your tastebuds flying. The dish was average for us, but our expectations had already been set so high from the burger. We will compliment the egg though, it was perfectly poached and we enjoyed it so much that we forgot to take a picture of the "eggporn" moment.

Cappuccino
We are always big fans of the coffee art, so had to take this picture!

Tropical Juice
The perfect way to enjoy a hot summer's day.

While it may be a long walk up reservoir street to reach, it was totally worth it when we reached our goal and scored our prize. Jordan was very friendly throughout our whole sitting, which was also extended to other customers (they even accommodated for guests with dogs!)
